Used Cooking Oil (UCO) is household waste that is dangerous to consume because of its chemical content.
UCO can be processed into biodiesel, soap, lamp oil, and animal feed. Biodiesel produced from UCO can be used as a substitute for diesel oil for diesel engines in the transportation and industrial sectors.
UCO should not be directly disposed of into the environment because it can pollute the soil, water, and ecosystem. Improper disposal of UCO can have a negative impact on environmental sustainability.
To dispose of UCO, you can use a licensed waste collection service.
Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) is liquid waste from palm oil containing water, oil, and suspended solids. POME is acidic and rich in organic content. POME can damage aquatic ecosystems and reduce dissolved oxygen (DO) levels. POME must be processed because it contains high levels of pollutants. Anaerobic POME processing can convert complex organic materials into biogas energy.
Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD), which is a by-product of the crude palm oil refining process. PFAD is a free fatty acid produced from the deodorization process at the refinery stage of crude palm oil (CPO) into palm cooking oil. PFAD has many uses, including:

Raw materials for Fat Replacer Sorbitol-Oleate Polyester (SOPE)
